OMG, isn't she a cutie? 27 Nov 2k4 _ 06:29 p.m.
We haven't had an Amanda photo post in awhile. And since she spent the Thanksgiving holidays with us, I figured the pita deserved an update. What can I say? I'm a proud auntie! ^_^

Weekend in St. Pete... 18 Nov 2k4 _ 07:41 p.m.

"risky business"
13 Nov 2k4

my rambling thoughts of the day 17 Nov 2k4 _ 05:43 p.m.
So excited that my baby niece will be with us for Thanksgiving this year. It will be her second Turkey Day since the day of her birth in 2k3. :) This will be our first time spending it with her + she's already knows how to walk! Goodness, where has the time gone?

So, it has been a busy month. I imagine it will only get busier as the days go by with holidays, planning, roadtrips, birthdays, freelance projects, work, job search, partying. And yeh, it's that time of year again! I really do love the cold, so long as I am dressed right.

Forgive this entry, for I am functioning on very little sleep.

My next door coworker just came by before he left to ask me what was I cooking earlier for lunch. Well, I *warmed* up food made up of white rice, spinach, corn beef, + potatoes. I think he was surprised of the ingredients list, but told me that it smelled good. I agreed. Then, he went off in his merry way home while I stayed behind, as usual. I cannot wait to get back on an earlier *schhhedule* [say it like a Brit just for fun].

Let's see... what else is new? I've got more design projects coming through via Access, which I'm very happy about. It involves a logo redesign + setting up a HTML newsletter template for their weekly emails. I'm supposed to put together a proposal of a new redesign of the church's main site, but my time has been dispersed into different priorities. I will get to it sometime.

Sorry for the lack of a fruitful entry. I know this really helped you learn more about me. [haha]

Next week : What will you be thankful for?

From an artist's perspective 12 Nov 2k4 _ 03:34 p.m.
It annoys me when people refer to Photoshop as "Adobe".

doodoohead : Oh, what's that you're using there? Adobe?
artist : Huh? Adobe what?
doodoohead : You're using Adobe, aren't you?
artist : Yeh, Adobe Photoshop.
doodoohead : Yeh, like I said, Adobe.

Don't you hate it when that happens? Or... are you one of them? :O

HAPPY FRIDAY, YO!

The chilly winds of change 08 Nov 2k4 _ 07:28 p.m.
Yo. How exciting that the weather is now brisk! Now that I have a personal heater for my "North Pole" office, it's fun to leave the house for work wearing a turtleneck sweater, slacks, + slippers. That's right, I said slippers. It's the best way to feel the cold--such a tease! But, don't worry. By the time the *real* cold comes along, I will dress more accordingly. ;)

Last night was fun. Spent time with J looking high + low for new "shells" like a couple of beached hermit crabs. It's so fun just to get a so-called "head start" on browsing around + looking at the local scenery just thinking about the near future possibilities. The time is drawing near, ladies + gents! Are we ready? Heck yeh!

While we are on the subject of possibilities... the highlight of yesterday was when I received some information via J's bro that there is a design position that just opened at *the* very place I want to work at. I won't say what or where just yet as I don't want to assume too early until things actually work themselves out. I am so excited of this news because I honestly thought now would not be the time that companies would want to hire due to the holidays. So glad I thought wrong!

So. Things to look forward to! Here are three easy steps of acquiring a new position:
  1. Send in resume package after an open position has been announced
  2. Land an interview
  3. Score the job
I am hoping to complete all 3 steps before the New Year rolls around, so please keep your prayers with me! I've already accomplished 1 out of 3. J's brother told me that the future employer has "beneficial memories" of my work, so I'm very happy to hear the positives. :)

*yay God*
